Lincoln Park Zoo is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust, and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect personal information you provide online.

For each visitor to our Web site, our Web server automatically recognizes information regarding the domain of the user but not their e-mail address nor any other personal information. For example, we can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, but not the names, addresses or other information about our visitors that would enable us to identify the particular visitors to our sites.

In addition, our system tracks information about the visits to our Web site. For example, we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our site, the daily hits we receive on a particular site page, etc. These statistics are used internally to better develop our site and also may be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

If you supply us with your postal address online you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by sending e-mail to us at support@lpzoo.org. You also may receive mailings from other reputable nonprofit organizations. You can, however, have your name put on our do-not-share list by e-mailing us at the above address.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers online may receive telephone contact from us regarding orders they have placed online. We also may contact them by telephone to provide information regarding new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such telephone calls, please let us know by sending e-mail to us at support@lpzoo.org.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.

Lincoln Park Zoo takes very seriously your right to privacy, and we are vigilant about protecting it. Your personal purchase history and credit card information are not stored online and will not be shared with another company. You never have to worry about giving us your credit card number over the Web as we have installed state-of-the art secure server software that encrypts your information.
